DESCRIPTION: Perform general duties throughout plant, including, but not limited to, mechanical and electrical assembly of machines, building maintenance, painting, cleanup, material handling, etc. Operates all machinery assigned to Resource Department. Provides service in customer plant. Assists with guarding as pertains to assembly aspects. Interprets working drawings and detail drawings covering assembly, piping, fabrications, and parts pertaining to job. Interprets pneumatic, hydraulic, lubrication, and water diagrams. Lays out, bends, and installs piping of machines. Makes brackets to mount or support valves, piping, flow controls, etc. Determines from diagrams the type of device tags and mounts in proper locations.
REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 8-10 years experience in specialized automated assembly and welding machinery for the major appliance and and automotive industry is preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to pass state approved written and hands on test to effectively operate fork truck and floor operated overhead crane. Must possess basic computer skills and ability to adapt to all applicable software required in the building process. Must possess effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills to work with employees, as well as customers and vendors. Must be able to travel and work independently. Must perform work in a safe manner. Must possess knowledge and ability to read and interpret detailed drawings. Must be able to pass Resource Technician Test. Must be able to follow reasonable directions and execute assignments effectively.
